So for awhile now, really probably since I’ve been old enough to have a bunch of bills to pay I have been the WORST at keeping track of my spending. I usually had the money to pay my bills but I never had a clue what day they were due how much was due etc.. and then usually when I went to pay it was three bills missed .. no bueno my friend!
I vowed to get my act together this year and actually started gathering the necessary tools to achieve this in November so I could have a few months to really organize everything and not feel disappointed  if I didn’t get it all done on Jan 1st.
Long story short, since November I have managed to get on top of ALL my bills, paid off my credit cards, opened a savings account and started getting the dear BF’s finances in order to help him pay off his debt!and now I am going to give you some tips to help you do it too

So Adam and I bought our house almost 3 years ago now (hard to believe!)  We originally rented  it  for a few months and then bought it but we have been stuck in rental mode for a long time aka we haven’t touched a thing – we haven’t even changed the curtains which are actually shower curtains from the dollar store haha..
To give a little more background, our house is 120+ years old. It’s been renovated quite a bit inside but the outside is a total mess. It came with 3 sheds and a greenhouse. One of the sheds is sinking into the ground, the greenhouse has gone wild with bind weed and the rest of the sheds are loaded with old junk.. The previous owner Roger Belanger was a well known local photographer, he was also an attempted “Mr. Fix It” by the endless amount of wood, tools and inventions scattered around the property and inside the house. We like to call his ‘fixes’ Rodger-Rigged.. you will understand this better  as I post more lol
So this year we have really started to get our act together to bring this truly unique and character filled house back to life! I know it will look awesome if we just give it a little TLC! Step one is getting the yard cleaned up.
